The U Factory

I was at Gillman Barracks with Qin last week to have lunch at The U Factory, a temporary art, food and retail space curated by the guys at Underscore.

The deceivingly  small ramen burger, served by The Travelling Cow, was surprising good, and filling. While the coffee at Maison Ikkoku pop-up is as good as the ones back at their shop.

We checked out the Creative Cultures Showcase as well. The showcase is a retail exhibition of Singapore creatives’ products, ranging from furniture to books to clothes. Meaning you can buy the exhibition.

The Monocle pop-up store will also be there until the end of the year. It was there where I finally gave in and bought The Monocle Guide to Better Living. Luckily, the book was the only one item I could afford to buy at the store.

There are more and more effort such as The U Factory and Temporium (my review) showcasing the craft and food of very talented, and hip, Singaporeans organised by Singaporeans. The thing is: Are you checking it out?

Had a different experience? Leave me a reply.
