Packing for Tokyo: Fall 2013 Edition

I love going for trips and packing for it is a big part of it. One of the most crucial part of packing is organisation. That is why I bought quite a few of Muji’s bag-within-bag organisers to separate my clean clothes, the filthy ones, undergarments, toiletries, gadgets, etc.

I am in no position to give tips and tricks for packing your suitcase, so I will just tell you to head over to Mr Porter’s The Way I PackLouis Vuitton’s YouTube Art of Packing playlist and Park & Cube’s post where you can learn a thing or two.

This is the first time I am going anywhere in the northern hemisphere, let alone Tokyo, so late in the year. So, I am packing all long sleeve shirts and other warm clothings this time. However, I am no Shini Park, and have to rely on my trusty old army backpack to pack it all in.

I have never had any real experience with temperatures this close to the end of the year, so I had to get to get a jacket that is flexible to keep me warm and dry. Initially, I have gotten a detachable wool jacket from Zara, but some of the buttons fell off at the first time asking. This was the second time I have gotten something defective from Zara, and it will be the last time. In the end, I managed to kop this  3-in-1 jacket from Gap for 50% of the price (originally, SGD250), during their sale, yesterday.

(I apologise for the open toilet seat.)

In a few hours time, I will be checking in my bags at the airport, and flying off to Tokyo. Do check my Instagram for constant (tantamount to spamming) updates of my trip. See you in Tokyo!
