I didn’t really finish reading any of the magazines I bought last month. That was mainly because I was really busy away on holiday in Tokyo. Will have some catching up to do in December.
Kinfolk . Number Nine
Kinfolk is preaching to the choir. Rest More? Work Less? Those are my mantra! This issue is about how we can spend our weekends taking it nice and slow but still being productive for your soul.
Speaking of slow; I really want to finish working on those entries about my Tokyo trips.
Gratuitous Type . No.2 & No.3
As a designer, I really hate when non-designers casually suggest to do something “typographic”. But, enough of my rant. I saw these babies on the interweb and have been searching high and low for them in Singapore, but only to find them in Tatsuya at the Daikanyama T-site. Gratuitous Type is a hand-numbered pamphlet of typographic smut from designer Elana Schlenker. Like I say, I have not finished reading them yet, but so far the interviews are really insightful. Best of all, every single one of the thousand beautifully crafted issues comes with a nice gift from one of the interviewees.
